CAPO & Pull-Out Tests

In-situ concrete strength & anchor capacity

CAPO Test measures in-situ compressive strength of concrete on existing structures with minimal damage. Pull-Out Test verifies anchor bolt and post-installed rebar capacity for retrofitting work.

What We Do

  • CAPO test on existing structures
  • In-situ concrete strength verification
  • Anchor bolt pull-out (epoxy, mechanical)
  • Post-installed rebar pull-out
  • Chemical anchor capacity verification
  • Embed plate weld pull-off
  • Façade fixing pull-off test
  • As per ASTM E488 & ACI 355

Methodology

CAPO: Drill 18mm hole → insert expansion ring → cut groove → apply pull-out force → measure peak force → correlate with cube strength. Anchor Pull-out: Calibrated hydraulic ram → applied to anchor → load-displacement recorded → ultimate failure load determined.

Deliverables & Outcomes

We deliver comprehensive reports and data that guide your project planning and decision-making.

  • CAPO/Pull-out Test Report
  • Pull-out force measurements
  • Strength correlation analysis
  • Anchor capacity certification
  • Failure mode documentation
  • Comparison with design values
