Electrical Resistivity Test (ERT)
Soil resistivity for earthing & solar projects
To measure soil electrical resistivity for designing earthing/grounding systems, solar PV plants, transmission line tower foundations and corrosion assessment of buried infrastructure.
What We Do
- •4-pin Wenner method ERT
- •Schlumberger array (deep resistivity)
- •Soil resistivity at varying depths
- •Apparent & true resistivity calculation
- •Multi-layer soil model interpretation
- •Earthing design recommendations
- •Corrosion risk assessment
- •Lightning protection design input
Methodology
Site grid planning → 4-pin Wenner array setup with adjustable electrode spacing (1m, 2m, 4m, 8m, 16m, 32m) → IEEE 81-2012 measurement → multi-layer soil modelling (CDEGS/ETAP) → earthing rod recommendation & resistance prediction.
Deliverables & Outcomes
We deliver comprehensive reports and data that guide your project planning and decision-making.
- •ERT Survey Report (IEEE format)
- •Multi-layer soil resistivity model
- •Apparent vs true resistivity graphs
- •Earthing design recommendation
- •Earth resistance prediction
- •Geo-tagged measurement locations
