Slab Load Testing
Proof loading of RCC floors & slabs
To verify the load-bearing capacity of newly constructed or aged floor slabs — especially when concrete strength is doubtful, design grade is unverified or change of usage requires higher loads.
What We Do
- •Proof load test (1.25 × design load)
- •Deflection measurement at mid-span
- •Recovery percentage after unloading
- •Crack monitoring during & after load
- •Distributed load using water bags / sandbags
- •Compliance with IS 456 Clause 17
- •Load test of cantilevers
- •Industrial floor uprating test
Methodology
Slab inspection & instrumentation → load increment in 4 stages (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, 125%) → 24-hour sustained load → deflection recording → controlled unloading → 24-hour recovery observation → analysis per IS 456 Clause 17 → pass/fail certification.
Deliverables & Outcomes
We deliver comprehensive reports and data that guide your project planning and decision-making.
- •Slab Load Test Report
- •Load vs deflection graph
- •Recovery analysis chart
- •Crack monitoring records
- •Pass/Fail certification
- •Strengthening recommendations (if needed)
